Shemax International has a responsibility to protect the health and safety of each individual at all times. Our HSE policies are important for every person who enters our premises. Our Vision is to fully integrate Health, Safety, and Environment into our business, where our culture is recognized as a model by industry and stakeholders, resulting in a healthy workplace free of incidents. Shemax International will maintain HSE practices and procedures that comply with or exceed regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Occupational Health & Safety
We provide a safe & healthy working environment including protection from fire, accidents, and toxic substances to our valuable workforce. We believe that a safe & healthy working environment is the right of every employee, and the organization is committed to maintaining and continuously improving Health, Safety & Environmental conditions.

Environmental Health and Safety
Environmental health is a key part of our organization. Our EHS policy clearly outlines the roles and expectations for the organization, faculty, EHS personnel, and individual employees. We also work with partners and members of environmental organizations to make sure all local and international environmental laws are in practice.

Personal Protective Equipment
We are committed to providing PPEs to all employees where there is any exposure to potential hazards. Personal protective equipment plays an important role in reducing the effects of an incident on the people involved in it. The company recognizes and shall ensure to provide the PPEs for protection like Head Protection, Foot/instep protection, Eye protection, hand protection, breathing protection, etc.
Medical & Social Security
It is the policy of Shemax International to register all workers in the Social Security department so that employees can avail of indoor/outdoor medical facilities. Annual medical check-up of workers is being conducted as per law.

First Aid Policy
It is the policy of Shemax International to comply with the Factory act 1934-chapter III section 32 for maintaining a first aid kit on factory premises. To comply with the law, the company shall provide a first aid kit in each department for emergency treatment that will be equipped with necessary First Aid Medicines or instruments.

Fire Safety Policy
At Shemax International, we encourage and support a high-quality approach to maintaining a fire-safe environment. The company shall make necessary arrangements to ensure the protection of the workforce from any occurrence of accident/incident. To ensure fire safety Company shall review the safety equipment periodically.

Covid Policy
In light of the evolving situation of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have amended our HSE Policy & Guidance, and procedures. Our employees have to follow certain guidelines to make sure COVID-19 does not spread further. Such as maintaining a distance of at least 2 meters between the desks, wearing masks and gloves, and using sanitizers.
Smoking Policy
All workforces shall not be allowed to smoke in working areas. Only nominated areas shall be allowed for smoking near the factory entrance gate. Moreover, the company discourages smoking as it is injurious to the health of employees and a waste of money.
